ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib and Google Earth

Recently I had to produce a KMZ file for Google Earth. The only zip library I had laying around was SharpZipLib. None of the icons for the KMZ would show up in Google Earth. I even renamed the KMZ extension to ZIP and extracted the ZIP file with Windows Explorer and WinZip. Come to find out that SharpZipLib was generating corrupt ZIP files that Google Earth had trouble reading. After switching to DotNetZip, Google Earth can read the icons fine.

Stay away from SharpZipLib.
